Fundraising News Update
Posted by Douglas Cruickshanks on 28 October 2018
We have had a busy few months of fundraising, but rest assured, the end is in sight!
We know that we have been asking for quite a lot of help recently, and - yes - we are about to do so again, but, honestly, we are heading for a quieter period.
So - one more push please. We are really lucky to have secured a bag pack at Morrisons on Sunday 2nd December, 10am - 4 pm. This is a great opportunity for us. We raised over £400 at our Tesco bag pack, but at Morrisons there are more tills, therefore much more money to be made. But it will only work if we get everyone involved.
We were able to offer one hour slots at Tesco - and one hour goes really quickly - but we can only do that at Morrisons if we have enough volunteers. Please put your name forward so that we don't end up with some people having to do several hours. Remember, all the athletes benefit equally from the money we raise.
So, one hour of your time please?
On top of that we are looking for donations for a Lucky Dip at the bag pack and for the raffle at the Trophy Disco. But we promise this will be the last time this year that we will ask for donations. Of course, we will also need a couple of people to run the Lucky Dip and the raffle. Could that be you?
Our last few fundraising events have raised a lot of money for the club, and it would be great to finish the year with a substantial amount from the Morrisons bag pack.
We really appreciate the time and money you have already given to us this year (and, financially, it has been very worthwhile). It has been great seeing everyone working together for the good of the club. We are now looking forward to announcing the fundraising total after the bag pack. And then having a COMPLETE BREAK from fundraising!
