Well done to all our athletes competing at this weekends Scottish Senior & Relay Championships in Aberdeen. Saturday saw medals for Michael Downie with a bronze in the shot putt(12.66) and likewise Damien Murray also picked up a bronze in the javelin(41.75). Ellen Robertson (U20) was close to her pb with a distance of 11.23 in the triple jump and Sophie Scott(U20) ran a time of 2.43.32 in the 800m heats. Sunday saw some much better conditions for competition and Michelle Durbidge was able to produce some excellent throws to win bronze in both the shot putt(11.90) and discus(38.42). The day finished on a high with our under 15 boys Matthew Law, Daniel Smart, Elliot Boath and Joel McFarlane winning the Scottish title and gold in the 4x100m relay, taking over 1.7 seconds off their own record to win comfortably in 47.06s(club record). Sophie Scott(29.86) and Eilidh de Klerk(26.85) both produced fine runs in the 200m heats and Elizabeth Barreiro coped well with her first run over 400mH to clock 75.24. Congratulations to all our medalists.
