SIAB pentathlon

Arbroath & District athlete Joel McFarlane represented Scottish Schools at the recent SIAB Pentathlon International at Emirates Stadium last weekend. ADAC has been well represented at this event, with several of the clubs athletes competing over the years. Joel was part of the four man Scotland Under 16 boys team taking on teams from England, Ireland and Wales. Joel's total of 3349 included pb's in 60m hurdles - 8.53; shot putt - 12.94 & 800m - 2.14.4 and was good enough to win the individual silver medal. The U16 team also ran The England team very close, with a total of 9346 just 140 points behind England for a fantastic team silver medal. Joel was also awarded the trophy for the most meritorious performance by any Scottish athlete male or female in either U16/U18 team.
