Sunday saw Hundreds of youngsters savour their first competitive experience of athletics at the Scottish Athletics SUPERteams event at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. Arbroath & District were able to send two girls and one boys teams to take part. The U12s fixture is geared firmly towards development – with athletes handed the opportunity to compete in four different disciplines, 60m sprint, long jump, shot putt and 200m relay, all within a team environment. Enthusiasm abounds on these occasions and hopefully many of the youngsters taking part are inspired to compete in later years at the Scottish Athletics Age Group Champs. Superteam
